The property:
Half way between the medieval walls of Monteriggioni and the wonderful city of Siena (in 10 minutes distance from each other), is located the property The Well. It is a big house of hunting lodge of the 15th century, to which a Chapel in the 18th and other out-buildings in the 19th century have been annexed.
Vines and olive trees, cypresses, firs, planets, ilexes are around the property for about 14 hectares.
Place of peace and meditation, rich of colours and strong feelings.
Some agricultural annexes have been recently restored to become beautiful stone houses.
The property consists of an independent stone house (Villetta) and two apartments about 50 metres away in a larger building nearby where the farm-workers live.
They all enjoy complete independance and privacy, and have a beautiful panorama over the vineyards and the woods that cover the nearby hill. Villetta has large, private external areas, with a big, covered veranda where you can always dine outside.
It has been recently renovated and furnished with good-quality pieces. The two apartments have also been furnished with accuracy, and they can all be booked together to create a single unit for 16 people, and in this way you can have exclusive use of all the outside areas including the pool, which has been created in a panoramic area nearby a very attractive artificial lake.
The swimming pool is beside the small ducks' lake and the gazebos cover small tables and chairs for pleasant breakfasts in the shadow.
A small jogging path runs in the large property through the scents of the nature.
A lunch or a dinner can be prepared on request upon arrival.
Villa Il Pozzo lies between Monteriggioni and Siena, in beautiful countryside and close to many interesting local villages.
You can reach San Gimignano in about 35 minutes and Florence in about an hour by car. There are many restaurants that offer delicious Tuscan cuisine and excellent Chianti wines.

Apartment GRAPPOLO for 4 people
Il Grappolo is suitable for 4 people. It has two bedrooms: the first one with a double bed and the other one with a comfortable double sofa bed (for just 2 people this room becomes a comfortable lounge).
The double sofa bed can be converted into twin beds on request. The private ground floor entrance, up a few steps from the drive, leads into the kitchen/living room with table and chairs and satellite television.
The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, kettle, table and chairs, refrigerator, stove, washbasin, toaster, American coffee machine, espresso coffee, dishes, glasses, cups, cutlery, complete set of saucepans, cooker, hob.
Off this on either side are the two bedrooms and en suite shower rooms.
There is a pergola a few metres from the apartment, by the swimming pool.
The swimming pool is beside the small ducks' lake and the gazebo covers small tables and chairs for pleasant breakfasts in the shadow.
From the swimming pool you will enjoy views over the nearby fenced pond, the olive groves and the green woods that surround the property in an oasis of peace and tranquillity.
A small jogging path runs in the large property through the scents of the nature.

A maid and gardener couple are available for washing, ironing, and for additional cleaning or any every other extra demand.

HOW TO REACH VILLA IL POZZO BY CAR FROM FLORENCE AIRPORT
Turn right on leaving the airport and follow the green motorway signs up the road. Enter the motorway at FIRENZE NORD following the direction ROMA. Exit at FIRENZE CERTOSA and take the Superstrada/Raccordo FIRENZE – SIENA (motorway link road) immediately to the right of the motorway exit. Drive along (56 Km) this road as far as the exit SIENA NORD.
Go straight on about 800 mt., after turn right at the stop and skirt the Banca di Credito Cooperativo di Monteriggioni. Go for 2 Km. and, after the Volvo car concessionary, turn right at the sign SAN MARTINO. Carry on for 800 mt. and enter the road lined with cypress trees ahead of you. This is the private road leading to Villa Il Pozzo. Stay on the left and you will come to the Villa Il Pozzo where you will be welcomed by Annamaria Corsini who lives in the large villa behind yours.
