Villa Sant’Uberto is located right in the heart of the Chianti Classico area, where the very well-known “Gallo nero” wine is produced. It is a few kilometres away from Castellina and from Radda in Chianti, on a splendid panoramic hill. The farm has been restructured respecting the typical Tuscan style and transformed into a charming Country Inn - Bed&Breakfast located in a 25 hectares large woodland, where quiet and nature dominate, and surrounded by olive groves and vineyards.

In this way, the owners intend to maintain the natural, rural environment while, at the same time, guaranteeing inside every accommodation all the modern comforts. THE LEGEND OF SANT’UBERTO
Villa Sant’Uberto owes its name to the place where it is located and to the patron of hunters and woodguards: Saint Hubertus.
Very scarce and fragmentary information is available about the saint’s life. The legend tells the story of Hubertus, a Belgian nobleman, who was a cunning hunter and conducted a very dissolute life following the untimely death of his wife. On a Good Friday, during a shooting party (without taking care of the special day devoted to The Lord), he saw a shining cross on the head of a deer and heard God calling his name. He went down on his knees and listened to God’s divine words: “Do not forget that eternal life is beyond things belonging to this world”.
The deer was safe and the event marked Hubertus life: he gave his title of nobility away, together with all his properties. He devoted the rest of his life to preaching, in particular by poor villages dioceses, still very far away from Christianity.
The locality of Sant’Uberto and the woods surrounding it, very well-known for the presence of animals characteristic of the Chianti area, (in particular wild boars and deers) owes its name to Saint Hubertus, this represent a sort of hunters and woodguards homage to their patron saint.

The first thing that you will notice entering from the front door is the warm and welcoming atmosphere.
This cosy and enchanting Inn, offers comfortable and elegant Rooms, all tastefully furnished in the typical ancient Tuscan style, with wrought-iron beds and each of them with a different colour and furniture.
Each Bedroom is provided with Private Bathroom, direct line Telephone, TV-sat, Hair-drier, Heating and some with a wonderful view of the Chianti countryside. Some rooms also look on to a panoramic terrace.
Villa Sant’Uberto has four rooms categories: Single Room, Double Room, Triple Room and Suite.
Twin beds and Extra beds are available and can be required upon making a reservation.
Child Friendly: as regards the needs of the children are available on request cradles and cots.
The bedrooms are named with the names of the main Tuscan poets and artists: Leonardo, Michelangelo, Dante, Machiavelli…..

The Apartments are furnished in the typical rustic Tuscan style, all different each other, bright and independent, are all supplied with private Bathroom, Kitchen with accessories, Fridge, Dining area, wrought-iron beds, Telephone, satellite TV, Hair-drier, independent Heating, bath and bed-linen and a Sitting area outside in the garden.
We require for this kind of accommodation a minimum stay of 4 nights.
